The following books are useful:
Just for Starters. Seven simple short Bible studies on the basics. These are normally done as a one-to-one or group session allowing questions and answers. This looks at what the Bible teaches on seven fundamental topics:

2 Ways to Live is a well known short presentation of how to know and tell the Gospel. Here is the most recent way of reading this message.
A Fresh Start. A book by one of Australia’s foremost evangelists, the late John Chapman; available in both paper and e-book from matthias media. Chapman’s sermons were meant for people young in faith and eager in mind.
Know and Tell the Gospel. Another book by John Chapman filled with heart and humour, this book deals with all the questions that quickly come to mind. Also available from matthias media.
The Case for Christ - by Lee Strobel - an investigative journalist with a background in law, examines the evidence for the reality of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Also available as a movie. There are other books by Lee Strobel in the “Case For” series, however this is a good place to begin.
Paul E. Little’s Believe series is a great set of books for learning the basics, simplifying core christian doctrines, offering reasons for faith and guides believers in their relationship with Jesus. The series consists of three books:

In our technological world, the written word is available not just on paper but everywhere. The Bible, study guides and note taking apps and websites are freely available.
Be aware that each time you start something new, you take time away from something else; so, start simply and THEN add the more complex stuff to your day.
Here are some trusted software offerings.
• ESV.org is available online and can be downloaded to your devices. It is complete and has robust tools including reading plans, note-taking tools, bookmarking, can read to you and will grow with you.
• Olive Tree Bible Software is extensive, all-encompassing and works on all platforms. It includes Bible studies, verse of the day, reading plans and note taking, however because it is so well-equipped it could be overwhelming. Available at www.olivetree.com
• Bible Notes App is currently only available on mobile phones. Available at https://Biblenotesapp.com
• YouVersion has a product called BibleApp that allows the use of multiple versions of the Bible on the same device. Containing Reading plans and allowing connections to friends - this allows you to have an online connection to your mentor - it allows you to take notes about what you are reading.
